We pair a heavyweight cotton canvas with pigment ink, solid wood stretcher bars, careful hand stretching, and a protective finish. Every completed canvas is inspected before it leaves our workshop.
- 100% cotton canvas, 21 mil thick with a weight of 420 gsm.
- Whiteness 79 (CIE Ganz), Opacity 96, Brightness 82 (ISO Blue Whiteness).
- Archival pigment ink selected for stable colour and detailed photographic reproduction.

Display life varies with direct sunlight, humidity, surface cleaning, and other environmental conditions, so we describe the materials and process instead of promising an unrealistic number of years. Canadian orders are printed, finished, and quality-checked in our Alberta workshop.

File requirements made simple for everyday uploads and larger pro files
For most orders, standard image files are all you need. If you already have a JPEG, PNG, or WEBP under 110MB, you can upload it directly and continue in the builder.
- 110MB upload limit for standard files on the website.
- TIFF, RAW, and PDF files are all good too, but they are usually really large.
- Email us a Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, or similar link and we can optimize the file for print.
- Set your final printing dimensions first, then export at 300 DPI for the same print quality in a smaller and easier file.
How to preview your image at the real print size before ordering
This is the most practical way to judge whether a photo will still look sharp as a large canvas print. The percentage shown in your photo viewer is not the important part. What matters is making the image on your screen represent the physical size you want to print.
Key idea:
match the image on your screen to the print size, not to a random zoom percentage. If your monitor is about 20 inches wide and you want a 40 inch wide canvas, zoom until the image appears twice as wide as your screen.
Quick summary
- Open your image in a regular photo viewer.
- Measure the visible width of your screen.
- Zoom until the on-screen image matches the physical print width you want.
- Pan around the image to inspect faces, text, dark areas, and important details.
- Judge the sharpness at that simulated print size.
This method gives you a more realistic preview than looking only at DPI or zoom percentage.

Ready to hang, or choose rolled canvas if you want to stretch it yourself
Most customers choose a finished ready-to-hang canvas because it is the easiest option. If you prefer to do the stretching on your own, you can choose rolled canvas in the order form.
- For secure installation, we recommend using two nails or screws directly in the wall.
- Lower the top of the frame onto the nails or screws so the canvas stays stable and flush against the wall.
- Rolled canvas is ideal if you want to stretch the canvas yourself or have it finished later.
- We seal the canvas and include extra printed edge, plus additional blank canvas, so you have the material needed for stretching.
