Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
This policy explains how Canvas Prints Ltd. and Canvas Prints Edmonton (collectively, “Canvas Prints,” “we,” or “us”) collect, use, share, retain, and protect information when you use our websites, customer accounts, ordering tools, dropshipping services, WooCommerce plugin, or Shopify app.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:
- account and contact information, including name, email, phone number, and saved addresses;
- order and delivery information, including product selections, recipient details, shipment status, and tracking;
- uploaded photographs, artwork, crop settings, product mockups, and other files required to create prints;
- payment references and billing status. Full card numbers are handled by our payment providers and are not stored by Canvas Prints;
- technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, and session activity; and
- connected-store data described in the integrations section below.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and customer support; calculate prices; create, charge, produce, ship, and track orders; operate private storage and Product Studio; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain service security; measure and improve our services; meet accounting and legal obligations; and send transactional or consented marketing messages.
3. Uploaded images and artwork
You retain ownership of your uploaded content. By uploading a file, you confirm that you have permission to reproduce it. We use uploaded content to provide the service you requested, including printing, storage, mockup generation, product publishing, support, reprints, and replacements. We do not use customer artwork for public marketing without permission.
4. Shopify and WooCommerce integrations
When a merchant connects a store, Canvas Prints receives and stores the store identity, store URL, currency, connection credentials or access token, product and variant mappings, and fulfillment settings. For products assigned to Canvas fulfillment, we process the product configuration, production artwork, paid-order identifier, purchased variants, buyer delivery contact and address, shipping selection, cancellation or refund status, and tracking information.
We use this data only to authenticate the connection, publish or update products at the merchant’s request, calculate and charge fulfillment, create and ship orders, return status and tracking to the connected store, provide support, and satisfy legal requirements. We do not independently market to a connected merchant’s buyers.
Shopify privacy requests are received through Shopify’s required customer-data and shop-redaction webhooks. Uninstalling the Shopify app disables the connection and removes its access token. Disconnecting WooCommerce disables its API key; uninstalling the plugin removes its local connection settings. Some order, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and fulfillment records may be retained where required by law or legitimate business obligations.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We share only the information reasonably needed with providers that help us operate the service, such as payment processors, email providers, hosting and storage providers, image-processing services, accounting platforms, shipping platforms, and delivery carriers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Order images may be retained for up to one year to support production, reorders, and warranty service. Unattached uploads and generated assets may be removed sooner according to the retention rules shown in the applicable service. Account private-storage and intentionally saved AI assets remain until deleted by the customer or the account is closed, subject to legal and backup-retention requirements.
7. Security
We use access controls, HTTPS encryption in transit, restricted administrative access, and other reasonable safeguards. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies for sign-in, carts, security, preferences, and connected-store authorization. We may also use analytics and advertising technologies to understand usage and measure campaigns. Browser controls can limit non-essential cookies, although disabling essential cookies can prevent parts of the service from working.
9. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information associated with you, and may unsubscribe from marketing messages. Merchants can disconnect connected stores from Dropshipping Settings. Requests may be limited where retention is required for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, or other legal obligations.
10. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Contact and changes
Questions or privacy requests can be submitted through our contact page. We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change; the date above identifies the current version.
